Classified as « Grand Site de France », Solutré Pouilly Vergisson is a dynamic place that lives forward preserving and sharing its treasures. The label “Grand Site de France” attributed by the French Government is rare and rewards a true commitment to a sustainable approach.
The rocky outcrops of Solutré and Vergisson, emblematic of these vineyards, remind us that from a height of 500 metres, 200 million years of history are looking down on us! Indeed, 20,000 years ago, one of the most fully evolved prehistoric cultures flourished here. This AOC, instituted in 1936, reunites four villages: Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson.
Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson are the exclusive villages producing the so-called Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. This 760 hectares (±1.880 acres) vineyard is growing on a narrow piece of land to provide us with this great white Burgundy wine.

Chardonnay is the only voice through which the various Terroirs of the Pouilly-Fuissé are expressed. From one area to another and from clayey marls to chalky soils, these specificities offer to this great Burgundy wine richness and minerality.

The Appellation Pouilly-Fuissé is only producing white Chardonnay wines on the villages of Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson. The appellation’s era covers 780 hectares and the annual output is of 6 million bottles.
The Pouilly-Fuissé Producers' Association created the « Atrium » in the heart of Solutré-Pouilly. This place has been thought as an invitation to discover the villages and the producers of the appellation.
At the Atrium, one can get wines (sold by the unit or in cases) from more than 80 different wineries, as well as tasting items (cork, silk-screen glasses), clothes and local artists’ works. A rich library also gathers many books on vineyard, wine, Burgundy, gastronomy, landscape and local fauna and flora.
The Atrium offers a wide range of Pouilly-Fuissé, of which you can taste an educational content made of 6 different wines from 5 different Terroirs and our now famous “Eclat de Roche” cuvee, rigorously selected to represent the best of each vintages. This range has been gathered in a collection of 6 bottles suggested to our visitors.
